Designed with cabin volume, range and speed top of mind, the newest jet by Gulfstream Aerospace has been announced, and you just might be interested in learning a bit more about its features (because they’re pretty amazing).
The G600 boasts a spacious cabin, which holds up to 18 passengers and offers a 6,200-mile range of flight. The cabin itself has a height of 6 feet and 4 inches with a width of 7 feet, giving plenty of room for a comfortable experience. The best part? The G600 cabin can be arranged in a variety of floor plans and owners can even work alongside designers to customize the interior to their preference, which is sure to draw interest in booking a Gulfstream charter flight with Apollo Jets. Noted in the description, “At 45 feet 2 inches, the G600 is the longest cabin in its class; it can be configured for up to four living areas, and in this business jet group, only Gulfstream can offer the option of a forward or aft galley. Even a shower is a possibility…” Are you getting excited to book your next Gulfstream Charter Flight with Apollo yet?
Faster and more efficient than any other in its class thanks to its Pratt & Whitney engine, the G600 minimizes emissions and features reduced noise levels. Aside from a supped-up engine, various technological and design updates also contribute to the increase in efficiency. New versions of Gulfstream’s Enhanced Vision System (EVS) and Synthetic Vision System contribute to the increased safety of the G600. Explained on Gulfstream’s website, “The new EVS boosts the resolution of the infrared sensor by 400 percent and expands the camera’s field of view for better imaging in low-visibility conditions. The EVS is linked to a head-up display that projects the EVS view onto a transparent screen in the pilot’s forward field of vision. A Synthetic Vision System produces artificial images of terrain, obstacles, runways and approaches on the primary flight display.”
Overall, it’s said that the G600 will save frequent flyers more than 50 hours of flying compared to other aircraft on the market. How? The jet has a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85 and a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925
But don’t start booking hotels for you and your friends or colleagues just yet. According to an article by Aviation Week, the G600 (and several others) were conceptualized by Gulfstream in 2008 and will be frozen by the end of 2014. The company plans to take flight by 2016, but it won’t reach service entry until 2019.
In the meantime, book a Gulfstream charter with us for your upcoming travel plans. Request a free quote, and we’ll help you find the right aircraft to fit your needs.
Apollo Jets is proud to announce the achievement of becoming the first charter broker to be ARGUS Certified. This approval marks the first time in history that a charter broker has performed the on-site ARGUS Certified Charter Broker Audit and met all of the necessary requirements set forth by ARGUS to obtain their Certified Broker status. Apollo Jets clients can enjoy all of the benefits of Apollo Jets services while having the peace of mind that flights arranged by Apollo Jets are performed and monitored under these strict stipulations. Never before has the customer been able to knowingly book a flight with a charter broker who has satisfied the strict and thorough requirements established by ARGUS. ARGUS has long been the globally recognized standard for developing overall quality ratings on aircraft operators. Although there are many commercial aircraft operators in the industry, only the elite qualify for ARGUS Platinum status and have the ability to pass a TripCHEQ requirement which ensures that the charter operator, pilots and specific aircraft meet or exceed ARGUS’ specific criteria. Many charter operator’s broker trips outside of their FAA recognized fleet, but none of them have obtained the ARGUS Certified Charter Broker status at this time.
ARGUS announced at the 2014 NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers conference in Orlando Florida that they were launching the Certified Charter Broker Program. Apollo Jets was the first broker to apply for consideration to be evaluated against the Certified Charter Broker standard and ancillary requirements. Apollo has endured and fulfilled an independent, unbiased, factually based process that confirms Apollo Jets has satisfied the demanding requirements set forth in the ARGUS Certified Charter Broker Program. Apollo has all of the policies and procedures in place which adhere to all applicable regulations, industry best practices, appropriate insurance coverage, and management of the fiscal responsibilities inherent to this line of business.
The ARGUS Certified Charter Broker Program addresses the concerns of the charter customer as well as the charter operators that are utilized to fulfill a brokered trip. Consistent with the ARGUS Charter Evaluation and Qualification (CHEQ) system. This program is designed to provide Apollo Jets clients with unbiased, factual and relevant data and information necessary to make informed decisions each and every time they charter an aircraft on behalf of their clients. A Certified Charter Broker must be able to prove compliance, through an on-site audit, against a recognized set of industry best practices and demonstrate knowledge and compliance with any applicable regulations or standards that are imposed upon a charter broker as a result of their legal domicile or the geographic coverage of their brokered charter flights. Apollo Jets has succeeded on all counts and has complied with all of the criteria necessary.
Apollo Jets is the first charter broker to achieve two levels of recognition, ARGUS Registered and ARGUS Certified. A Registered Charter Broker provides ARGUS with documented proof of specific requirements, and annually pledges their commitment to adhering to industry best practices and applicable regulations. A Certified Charter Broker will submit the same documentation and annual pledge, and will undergo an on-site audit, once every two years, to prove their compliance with industry best practices and applicable regulations.
